John’s college thesis was a science fiction novelette, later expanded into Time Tracks.  He also completed a Writer’s Digest correspondence course, which grew into Mars Material.

John is a longtime member of Pikes Peak Writers, Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, and Lighthouse Writers.  John participated in two different critique groups over the years and has attended hundreds of seminars and classes.  He's served as a contest judge several years.
